More Training, range videos, and occasional nonsense.

Halloween is upon us, and apparently even our targets aren’t safe from a little seasonal mischief. 🎃

We’ve given three of our original Casual Firearms assessments a spooky makeover. The Seven Skulls, The Evil Eye, and The Ghoul Buddy bring some Halloween spirit to the range without changing the challenges that inspired them.

Same assessments. Same scoring. Same standards. Just a little more Halloween spirit.

Grab your favorites, print them at 100% / Actual Size, and have some fun!

The Seven Skulls 💀

Seven skulls. Eleven rounds. One familiar challenge.

The Casual Firearms Standard has received a rather unfortunate makeover. Seven skulls have replaced our traditional targets, but the familiar shooting sequences, scoring, and Hit Factor remain.

Three Courses of Fire, an optional reload, and plenty of opportunities to discover whether those skulls are harder to hit than they look.

The Evil Eye 👁️

It’s watching you. Now let’s see how fast you can shoot it.

The 7 Ring has taken on a rather unsettling new appearance, trading its familiar gold circle for an ominous eye that seems determined to stare right back at you.

The challenge remains unchanged: ten individual draws from concealment at seven yards, one accountable shot per draw, with speed and accuracy combined into a single Hit Factor.

Don’t just show us your fastest draw. Show us all ten.

The Ghoul Buddy 🎃

Your Good Buddy isn’t looking so good.

Our friendly little smiling target has returned from the grave, and he’s looking a bit worse for wear.

The Ghoul Buddy brings the same two challenges you already know: Quad-4 and 10-4. Four yards, four seconds, and either four or ten accurate hits inside a 4-inch circle, all from concealment.

He’s still smiling. We’re just not entirely sure why.

Same Challenges. Different Faces.

Halloween comes and goes, but the training doesn’t have to.

These seasonal targets are just a little something different to bring to your next range session. Whether you’re chasing a better Hit Factor, working on your first-shot performance, or trying to make friends with a particularly unsettling smile, we hope you have some fun with them.

The community is casual. The training is not. Especially amongst the ghouls & goblins! 🎃
