We’ve purchased firearms, optics, and other gear from Primary Arms over the years, so this isn’t a retailer we’re adding to the list simply because they have an affiliate program. We were customers first.

Academy has become one of our go-to places for buying training ammunition, especially when we’re buying in bulk. We routinely purchase thousands of rounds at a time, and Academy frequently offers 10% off ammunition purchases over $300, which puts most of our ammo orders right in the sweet spot for the discount.
The discount is capped at $1,000 in ammo, (currently about 4,000 rounds of 9mm) but we rarely need to buy that much at once anyway. For the amount of ammunition we typically buy, it’s become one of the first places we check when it’s time to restock.
